The Truth

ravoceo:

Although the Trayvon Martin situation is a tragedy and JUSTICE needs to be served wether its through the judicial system or on the streets. We as a people need to reflect on the part that we played in this. We glorify the stereotypes that directly effect all of us as a people. The more I read, discuss, or hear about this story it angers me, but it also makes me think about how far our people have been set back. This is not only time for mourning but this is also time for self reflection. This is time for us to be better and do better collectively and individually. We can’t continue to down this road to nowhere. Again I ask please don’t let the death of this young man and countless others to be in vain. If we can set record number to elect the first black president, I am pretty sure that we can set record numbers in being better as a people. Its time for young ladies and young men to stop acting like niggers and act accordingly. Its time for us to better parents and stop letting Comcast, Playstation, Xbox, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc..raise our children. We need to put more emphasis on education rather materialism. Lets put down the Ciroc and Loud and pick up some books other then a Zane or other urban novels. Lets teach our kids their rich and powerful history and give them a sense of pride. Teach them self respect and give them a sense of pride. Lets focus on whats important rather then shit that no longer matters. Lets just do better and others will respect and fear us and we can prevent future tragedies of this nature. Thats just my opinion.

“You may not be her first, her last, or her only. She loved before she may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters? She’s not perfect - you aren’t either, and the two of you may never be perfect together but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she will give you a part of her that she knows you can break - her heart. So don’t hurt her, don’t change her, don’t analyze and don’t expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she’s not there.”
