Soon-to-be preacher’s wife, Meagan Good’s choice to put on a tawdry burlesque performance for her bachelorette party at Las Vegas’s Pussycat Dolls Burlesque Saloon inside Gallery Nightclub at Planet Hollywood over the weekend, ruffled some feathers. Even Christian actress Tia Mowry’s cleavage-baring cover of Vibe Vixen raised eyebrows. Good, who donned a plunging neckline on the cover of Vibe Vixen in February, maintains that her sexy public image is just that, an image or illusion. Inwardly, she says, she is sold out for Jesus. But is dressing up like a temptress in conflict with biblical definitions of modesty and virtue, or are some more conservative Christians just a little too uptight? (via TOO HOT FOR CHRISTIANITY? So when did hair become the enemy?
Random… I know but this has been bothering me for awhile. I remember in junior high being excited that hair was growing on more than just my head. It meant that I was becoming a woman. Now that I am a woman… I am trying to find the least painful way to remove all except what is on my head. There is a great deal of irony here…

National Women’s History Month
Celebrating @jpopemusic of “J. Pope & Funk Friday”A case worker by day and a dope emcee, velvet-voiced, singing over acoustic instrumentation fly chick by night. With three albums under her belt and a few more “surprises” on the way, I’d be foolish not to highlight Ms. Pope. Also it’s National Social Workers Month so this would have to be a double whammy. Not just a friend, but an important element in the DMV artist community and the world. #fact.
